Pre-stoppered monofilament has factory fitted stoppers made from nylon cord tied onto the mono, generally at two metre spacings.
These stoppers are fully glued with an acrylic compound which ensures a low wear rate and therefore long life. Additionally the stoppers are almost immovable in normal use and, as they do not put any stress on the mono, they do not reduce the tensile strength.
